The fine print, kept short.
These terms cover what you can expect from Sonarnote and what we expect from you. We have tried to keep the language plain.
Agreement
Sonarnote is operated by SIA Sonarnote, registration number 40203712513, registered in Latvia at Taisnā iela 5, Riga, LV-1063, Latvia. In these terms, "we", "us", and "Sonarnote" refer to this company.
By creating an account or using Sonarnote, you agree to these terms. If you are using Sonarnote on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
The service
Sonarnote provides a desktop recorder, a transcription pipeline, and a workspace where you can search and review interview recordings. Features available depend on your plan.
We may update, add, or remove features over time. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paying customers.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity under your account. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
Accounts are for a single user. Sharing one account across multiple people is not permitted on individual plans.
Acceptable use
You may only record conversations where you have the legal right to do so. Consent rules vary by jurisdiction and you are responsible for following them.
Do not use Sonarnote to harass, defraud, or violate the rights of others, and do not attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
Your content
Recordings, transcripts, and notes you create remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit them solely to operate and improve the service for you.
We do not claim ownership over your content and we do not use it to train external models.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel from your billing settings at any time, effective at the end of the current period.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with at least thirty days' notice for the next renewal.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to the service.
On termination, we will delete or return your data as described in the Privacy policy.
Disclaimer
The service is provided as is. Transcription and AI features can produce errors and are not a substitute for professional review. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from your use of Sonarnote is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Latvia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Latvia have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
Dispute resolution
If a dispute arises, contact us first at [email protected] and we will try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we cannot, either party may pursue the matter before the competent courts identified under Governing law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
Miscellaneous
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These terms, together with the Privacy policy, form the entire agreement between you and us.
Changes
We will post material changes to these terms on this page and notify active users by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
